It seemed to me, that to learn ballistics was going to be way too technical, and for me, hard to ingest well enough to put to good use. The way this book is written makes absorbing the knowledge of ballistics far easier than what I thought it would be. I’m no math wiz but, the way in which the formulas are laid out makes it relatively easy to comprehend. Mr. Litz presents the formulas three different ways, which seems redundant, but when you’re completely lost on the first way, he presents it in two more ways which in most cases flips the switch of understanding to ON. I put this to good use in the field when trying to hit 300 and 350 yard steels. I noticed my bullet was set for G1. I did not know the G7 BC. I learned from the book that the sectional density SD is very close to the G7 BC of a bullet. Remembering the formula for Sectional Density, I figured it and applied it to the app for a G7 BC. Bang! Repeated hits on both targets.
